It is an infernal dance of mining origin that represents the struggle of the Good against the Evil and the defeat of seven capital sins. It is a struggle headed by the angel Miguel (the Good) and Lucifer (the Evil). The first battle is won by the demons, who invade the earth to finish with the christianity. In a later battle the devils are defeated and the peace reigned in the earth. 

 

ImageIt shows the rebelliousness against the system of the Mita , the obligatory work in the silver-mines. It is a protest against the imposition of the religion and of the foreign values. The words of Lucifer are clear well: " Ho! Partners! In this moment of infernal happiness: we will light our black flag against our enemies! " and the choir of the devils answers: " War to the Christians, Haargh! ".  

 

In accordance with the information provided by the tradition, the Diablada as material fact with deep religious inspiration, part of the discovery of the image of the miraculous Virgen de la Candelaria, in the room of the famous thief Nina nina, probably in the XVIIth century, when the miners of Oruro resolved to recognize her like the protective mother of the hard-working people, and to dance of devils precisely, not to provoke the annoyance of the Uncle of the mine.

 

Diabladas, we can mention: La Tradicional Autentica Diablada Oruro (more acquaintance as that of the mañasos), The Artistic and Cultural Brotherhood the Diablada, Diablada Urus, Diablada Ferroviaria etc.

 

Each of these diabladas, it is characterized in the uniform with a color different from the devil's pants, and in the cap of the suit of essay.
