The other version to the appearance of the Virgen del Socavón - tinged of romanticism and drama - we find in the "Novena" composed in honor of "La Protectora", for the priest Emeterio Villarroel and published at the end of last century. The central character is Anselmo Berlamino, nicknamed the "Nina-nina" and pretender of Lorenza Choquiamo, an Indian beauty, a daugther of a medium fortune merchant  Sebastian Choquiamo.

Of Anselmo Berlamino, says that ecclesiastical piece, "in the annals of those times you can compare the terror and panic that it end up inspiring by these districts the famous bandit Nina-Nina, ind of monster  that perpetrated robberies with the biggest audacity and the but cold astute blood. This murderer could not be taken by the police and neither the prizes that the authority offered for his head, neither the diverse departures that were organized against the, neither those guarded that they were spread; they had a favorable" result.

On Saturday of Carnival of 1789, "Nina-nina" planned to escape with her engaged Lorenza (she help her father's warehouse in the vicinity of Conchupata) because of their father's negatives to consent to the courtship, bacause her father nows about his wrong living.

"Nina-Nina", was a devote of Candelaria' Virgin, previously he went to a high grund of the city, to light two candles to the image, then ignored by most people.

Around 7 thirty of the night, I guide their steps toward the warehouse of Choquiamo. When they executed the plan of the escape, they were surprised by the father that returned to the home. Desperate fight was begun, and the bandit loose, victim of mortal stab.

Fainting the "Nina-ninal" was driven by a beautiful youth to the hospital, she oentrusts that they gave him the best attentions and that they called to the priest. Then she suddenly disappear after giving their blessing to the dying one and speaking to the hearing cuts words."

In this narration the historical thing enters, when the author of the Novena, sustains that the parish priest of Oruro Carlos Borromeo Mantilla in that year of 1789, "received the patient's confession who in those supreme agony moments and having even nailed in the throat its own dagger, it exposed that the devote era of Candelaria' Virgin that existed in an abandoned lot of the city, and to whose image dedicated every Saturday a candle; he was Anselmio Berlamino alias the Nina-girl and being next to expire without confession in hands of Sebastian Choquiamo, it had been aided by the same Virgin to who worshipped."

This version that contains bigger verisimilitude, on the origin of the Virgen del Socavon, marks the beginning of a frantic cult that we know in our days then and that I eat in any part of the orb, it finds its identity in the great celebrations of the carnival of the current capital of the Bolivian Folklore, for its Andean root  and for a symbiosis mythical-pagan.
